How do I find more articles like the good one that I already have?

Answer

Finding articles similar to the one you already have

When you have found a good article, one of the best ways to extend your research is to use that article to find similar ones.

To do this, search for the title of the article in Google Scholar. This will find articles that cite the one you have found. Follow the link called "cited by [number]."

The articles you find will likely be related to the one that you have already found, since they have cited it.  Click on that Cited by and it will open additional articles.

You can also connect Google Scholar to the Bristol library and it will tell you if we have the article in full-text.  Tutorial for using Google Scholar

Another way to find additional articles that are similar, is to search in one of the library databases.  Search for the title of the article (put " " around the title), hit search and you will see the related articles in the results list. You might also only see the article title you put into the search bar if we own the article.
